Measurement of Green Total Factor Productivity and Its Spatial Convergence Test on the Pig-Breeding Industry in China

The pig-breeding industry is one of the pillar industries China’s agriculture. Improving green total factor productivity pig breeding basis for ensuring stable supply pork, and also key to transformation industry. existing studies about lack an analysis regional coordination spillover spatial technology efficiency at macro level, most focus on impact agricultural production’s environment pollution other undesirable outputs. Based input–output index system industry’s production, DDF directional distance function model Malmquist–Luenberger (ML) were combined measure Moran’s I-Theil was used reveal technical differences among dominant regions in China ?-convergence test adopted convergence trend productivity. results showed that: (1) growth level generally low from 2006 2018, there obvious scale differences. (2) each province had autocorrelation; that is, spillover. From with advance time, a pattern gradual evolution low-level equilibrium high-level imbalance formed. (3) Through test, large medium-scale development between different fluctuated, while small-scale not obvious. Therefore, it necessary increase investment technological innovation, promote large-scale standardized industry, strengthen promotion producing areas advantages breeding.
